Husband killed by his wife, buried in house
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 11 (UNI) A 40-year-old man was killed by his wife and her family members and buried in the same house on Ganesh Chaturti day on August 27 at Rayalacheruvu village in this district. The murder came to light only last night and police were making efforts to exhume the body today.
The woman, Padmavathy was married Narayana Reddy at Rachepally village of Shinganamala mandal since 15 years. Narayana was working in a local cement factory in Shinganamala mandal. There are reports that the couple were having quarrels over family problems for the past few days, according to police.
On August 27, Mr Reddy, along with his wife and six-year-old son went to his in-laws house in Rayalacheruvu village. Ms Padmavathy hatched a plan to eliminate her husband. She took the opportunity, when Narayana as drunk and was sleeping, police said.
Padmavathy took the help of her sister Laxmi and a local resident Mohd Basha and throttled Narayana to death. The same night, they buried the body in the house and put stones and cement over it. When the relatives and friends of Narayana started questioning Padmavathy abuot the whereabouts of Narayana, she confessed to the crime.
The police took into custody Padmavathy, her mother Malleshwari, sister Laxmi, Mohd Basha and two others Nagesh and Mastan and were interrogating them.
Police suspect illicit relationship to be the reason behind the murder.
