Family members of TN Minister have miraculous escape

Villuppuram, Tamil Nadu Sept 11(UNI) The family members of Tamil Nadu Transport Minister K N Nehru had a miraculous escape when the car in which they were travelling met with an accident at Villuppuram today.

According to police Shanta, the minister's wife with daughter Hema, and brother-in-law Tamizharasan was returning to Chennai from Tiruchirapalli. When the car reached Villuppuram, an 18-year-old girl was crossing the road on a bicycle, and to avoid her, the driver Sreenivasan turned the vehicle sharply, and dashed against an electric post.

While Tamizharasan suffered shoulder dislocation, Mr Nehru's wife and daughter escaped with minor injuries.

They later left for Chennai in another vehicle.
