Blast heard at burial site of slain Afghan governor

KHOST, Afghanistan, Sep 11 (Reuters) A large blast was heard today at the funeral of a provincial Afghan governor who was killed in a suicide attack, witnesses said, but there was no word of any casualties.

Several cabinet ministers from the capital, Kabul, were present for the funeral of Hakim Taniwal in the southeastern province of Khost, they said. He was killed yesterday.
