Singapore, Sep 10 (UNI) Shiv Kapur finished fifth, while senior compatriot Jyoti Randhawa held a share of the eighth spot after the fourth and final round of the three million dollar Barclays Singapore Open was cancelled following thunderstorm here today.

Tropical thunderstorm hit Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong Course, forcing the organisers to scrap the fourth round and title holder Adam Scott and South African Ernie Els, tied at three-day total of eight-under 205, featured in a play off to decide the issue.

In the play-off, the Australian successfully defended his title, winning the three-hole play-off (16,17,18). Scott birdied the 18th hole to beat Els after both players parred the first two holes at the 16th and 17th.

Meanwhile, Shiv, who returned 70, 69 and 72 in the first three rounds, finished fifth at two-under 211.

Randhawa, meanwhile, finished tied eighth with a third round of one-over 72 that took his three-day tally to even-par 213.

The SSP Chowrasia-Arjun Singh duo shared the 19th spot at three-over 216, while Jeev Milkha Singh, only Indian to be under-par yesterday, finished tied 25th after rounds of 71, 76, 70.

Jeev was joined by veteran Gaurav Ghei who also totalled 217 over the last three days.
