Rio condoles former NNC president's death
Kohima, Sep 10 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has condoled the death of former Naga National Council (NNC) president Rev Merhupfu Kent here today.
Mr Kent had died at his native village T Zisunyu under Kohima's Tseminyu sub-division yesterday, sources said.
Mr Rio lamented the death describing it as an irreparable loss to the state.
He also said when every effort was being made to restore peace in the state, Kent's death at this juncture was a big blow to the Naga peace process.
Mr Rio conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
