More Central aid needed to fight insurgency in Bihar: Modi
Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Susheel Kumar Modi today said the state needed more central assistance to fight insurgency as more than 23 out of the 38 districts, were naxal-infested.
The BJP-led state government had effectively maintained the law and order situation, he told newspersons here, adding that businessmen were invited to invest in the state.
The law and order situation had improved following the recruitment of 5,000 ex-servicemen in the police department, he added.
He said the Centre had allocated Rs 10 crore each to 37 districts in Bihar under the Backward Region Development Grants during this year.
