Jewellery worth lakh of rupees robbed

Bulandshahr, Sep 10 (UNI) Armed miscreants decamped with the jewellery worth lakh of rupees under Aurangabad police station area here today.

Police said six miscreants posing as electricity department officials entered the house of Sarraf Pintu, a resident of Aurangabad town.

After locking the family members in a room, the miccreants decamped with the jewellery worth lakh of rupees.

Agitated by the incident, local traders called a 'bandh' today and blocked the road.

Police, however, managed to pacify the mob.

A case was registered and a manhunt launched.
