IHM to celebrate pineapple festival

Shillong, Sept 10 (UNI) The Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong, will celebrate World Tourism Day the pineapple way in Meghalaya.

The institute will observe the World Tourism Day on September 27 by organising the first ever day-long Pineapple festival at its premises.

The festival is aimed at to motivate, prepare and create awareness about the different uses of best quality pineapple, an IHM press note said.

The day-long event would exhibit pineapple based cuisine, preparation including main dish, sald, desert besides other items that can be produced from fruit.

Competition for students and chefs from Hotels, visitors spot salad preparations based on pineapple and other fruits will also be organised.
