Mahila Congress demands filing of FIR against former Minister

Palakkad, Sep 9 (UNI) Mahila Congress Kerala president Shanimol Usman today alleged that the judicial probe ordered by the state government into the sexual harassment charge against former PWD Minister P J Joseph was an "eye-wash" and was to protect him.

Addressing a news conference here, she said Inspector-General of Police B Sandhya who already enquired into the charges had found out that Mr Joseph had misbehaved with a woman co-passenger while on a flight from Chennai to Kochi on August three.

Under these circumstances, an FIR should be filed against Mr Joseph before going for a judicial probe, she said.

Ms Usman said the Mahila Congress would launch an agitation unless the government took steps to file an FIR against him.
