UAEA urged to halt illegal appointments of engineers

Itanagar, Sep 8 (UNI) The unemployed Arunachalee Engineers' Association (UAEA), in a memorandum, has urged the state chief secretary to stop the ongoing process of illegal appointments on contractual basis.

To protect the interest of a large number of unemployed engineers of the state, the UAEA alleged that seven Junior Engineers(JEs) were appointed illegally without any advertisement.

The process of illegal appointment should stop as it would deprive many genuine and deserving aspirants, it said It also pleaded for advertisement of vacant JE posts in IFC, RWD, PWD, hydro power and power departments.
