SUCI condemns Malegaon blast, demands exemplary punishment

Kolkata, Sep 8 (UNI) Socialist Unity Centre of India(SUCI) strongly condemned today's serial bomb blast at Malegaon and demanded stringent and exemplary punishment to the guilty for the ''ghastly crime''.

Describing the situation as very alarming and aimed at destroying communal harmony, SUCI All India General Secretary Nihar Mukherjee lambasted both the Union and the Maharashtra government for ''failing to protect the life of innocent people''.

'' They have also failed to contain the communal forces who are trying to raise their ugly heads in different parts of the country causing immense damage to its hamonious image,'' Mr Mukherjee said and demanded 'severest' punishment to the culprits.

He also appealed to the people across the country to remain calm in the present hour of crisis and do not fall into the trap of fundamentalist forces and maintain communal harmony at all cost.
