Security tightened in city following Malegaon blasts

Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, Sep 8 (UNI) Security has been beefed up in the historic temples, important churches and mosques, railway stations and other vital installations in Tiruchiapalli in the aftermath of twin bomb blasts at Malegaon in Maharashtra, today.

Police said police protection was given to the historic and important temples and other places of worship, which were already under a blanket security cover in the district.

Night patrolling and vehicle checkups have also been intensified in the city and the security has been tightened at all the entry points into the city, police added.
