Rupee closes marginally low at Rs 46.22/23/USD

Mumbai, Sep 8: Rupee today closed marginally down at Rs 46.22/23 per US Dollar compared to Rs 46.19/20 per US Dollar yesterday, as the fund flow eased compared to previous four days, a money market trader today said.

Earlier, Rupee opened at Rs 46.14/16 per USD and in mid-morning session traded at 46.20/22/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.20/US Dollar compared to the previous rate of 46.10 per USD on Tuesday.

The six month forward premia was fixed high at 1.35 per cent and the one year forward premia was also fixed high at 1.35 per cent.

The Rupee however showed an improved performance against other currencies against Euro, Rupee closed up at Rs 58.77 (58.81), against Pound Sterling it closed up at Rs 86.49 (86.60) and against Yen it closed up at Rs 39.74 (39.75).
