Rendition of 'Vande Mataram' passes off peacefully in Surat

Surat, Sep 7 (UNI) The rendition of Vande Mataram, the national song which is celebrating its centenary this year, passed off peacefully here this morning.

Many schools, including minority institutions like M M P High School, M A Mullah Pipardiwala School, M T B Girls School and Surat Young Muslim Graduate Society School, participated in the celebration with enthusiasm.

Sources said there were no objections from any institutions in the city about singing of the song.

An official release of the Valsad district administration said many government and non-government institutions sang Vande Mataram with enthusiasm.
