Militants kill one, injured BSF jawan and plant mines in J

Srinagar, Sep 8 (UNI) Militants killed one persons, injured a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and planted a powerful IED in the Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official spokesman said.

He said militants abducted and later injured one Kuldeep Singh at Sarsal in Doda district of Jammu region last night. Singh, who was admitted to hospital, died in the hospital today.

Militants today planted a power Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the compound of Agriculture department building at Kishtwar.

However, bomb disposal squad was immediately summoned who later defused the IED without causing any damage.

A live grenade was today detected and defused in the compound of sub district hospital at Beerwah in the central Kashmir district of Badgam. However, it was later defused by the bomb disposal squad.

Militants hurled a hand grenade towards a securit force patrol party at Lalad Sopore in north Kashmir. It exploded on the roadside causing injuries to a BSF jawan who had been admitted to hospital.
