India should talk tough with Pakistan to end terror :Vajpayee
Dehra dun, Sep 8 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today lashed out at the UPA Government for its failure to contain terrorist violence and asserted the government must 'talk tough' with Pakistan to end cross border terrorism.
Addressing the public rally, as part of the BJP's poll campaign to stage a comeback in this Himalayan state of Uttaranchal, Mr Vajpayee said the government appeared to be directionless being unable to act decisively with Pakistan on the issue. "Let there be conclusive talks with Pakistan and there should be simultaneous efforts to root out terror", he said condemning the serial bomb blasts at Malegoan killing scores of people this evening.
Stating the government did not seem to use the Intelligence appratus to ward off the incident, the former PM said though scores of people were killed in recent Mumbai blasts, there was no concrete information regarding how it happened or about the perpetrators of the crime. Same was true for scores of incidents taking place in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
He said incidents like Malegoan had been repeatedly taking place and this incidents comes as no surprise but the worrying aspect is the government's inability to put an end to terrorist activities, he said.
