Hyundai-TNGF Open in Chennai from Sep 20

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) Leader of the Aamby Valley PGAI Tour Order of Merit Mukesh Kumar and the likes of Ashok Kumar, former Indian Open winners Feroz Ali and Vijay Kumar will vie for top honours as the tour is all set to embark on the new season later this month with the Hyundai-TNGF Open to be played at the Cosmo-TNGF Golf Course in Chennai from September 20-24.

Besides them, Shamim Khan, Amardip Sinh Malik and Bangalore lad Rahul Ganapathy lead the list of over 85 players who have already confirmed their entry. Also included in the list are veterans Rohtas Singh, Shiv Prakash and Basad Ali.

The Hyundai-TNGF Open is the first stop of the four-leg Southern Swing on Aamby Valley PGAI Tour 2006-07 season. The event comes with an increased prize money of Rs 12 lakh as compared to last year, with the winner walking away with a handsome cheque of Rs 1,89,840.

Also the prize money has gone up in the next event, the MGC Open, which has a prize purse of Rs 15 lakh followed by the traditional Hindu Open and the Southern Open in Bangalore.
