Chinese entrepreneur importing Indian hair for wigs

Zhengzhou, Henan, Sep 8 (UNI) Wigs made from Indian human hair are adorning the scalps of several Americans and Europeans as a Henan-based entrepreneur is importing hair to produce wigs as a remedy for those suffering from baldness in the West.

''This province is importing wigs worth 400 million dollars annually,'' Governor Li Chengyu told a media delegation from India but did not specify the quantum of hair import.

Besides hair, Henan also imports iron ore.

Claiming that trade between the two countries has increased significantly in the recent past, Mr Chengyu added that it was 320 million dollars last year and hoped it would cross the 400 million-dollar-mark soon.

''Keeping in view the overall low India-Sino trade, we are satisfied with the India-Henan trade quantum,'' he said.
