China invited to join G7 talks Sept 16: Japan MOF

Tokyo, Sept 8: Finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven (G7) industrial nations will meet on Sept 16 in Singapore, Japan's Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki said on Friday.

China, Singapore and Thailand are being invited to join in part of the G7 discussions, the ministry said.

G7 groups Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States.

The G7 meeting, chaired by Japan, will be held ahead of a meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee on Sept 17 and annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund on Sept. 19-20.
