BHEL employees were badges to press demands

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 8 (UNI) A section of employees of the public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) local unit today resorted to a novel agitation by wearing badges listing their demands during duty.

The employees, affiliated to various trade unions were demanding Rs 50,000 in cash, 15 gms of gold, increment and regularisation of job for the temporary workers in connection with the ongoing golden jubilee celebrations of the company.

The agitating emloyees told newspersons the agitation would be intensified if their demands were not conceded by the company.
