Bajaj Auto to invest Rs 1,000 cr at Hardwar unit
New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) Bajaj Auto Ltd will invest Rs 1,000 crore in the second phase of its plant expansion programme at Hardwar and would roll out ungeared scooters across all segments in the first quarter of next fiscal.
The new plant will start operations in two years.
''Scooters in the 100-150 cc range, specially Pleasure and Eterno models are witnessing a significant growth, so we are interested to roll out the new models,'' Bajaj Auto Ltd Rajiv Bajaj told reporters here.
The company is likely to launch its high-end vehicle DTS-Fi during the festive season this year.
Bajaj Auto Ltd recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government of Maharahstra to set up the Greenfield Project at Chakan, Pune to manufacture a new range of three wheelers and four wheelers.
