AP CM pays tribute to 'People's Poet' Kaloji
Hyderabad, Sept 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today paid tributes to Kaloji Narayana Rao, who was popularly known as 'People's Poet,' on the occasion of his 93rd birth anniversary.
He said in a statement, that Kaloji apart from enriching the Telugu literature had also served the people of the state by taking active part in the Telangana Liberation struggle.
The Chief Minister said Kaloji inspired people and instilled the spirit of freedom through his writings and guided the struggle against the dictatorial rule of the Nizam. In his poem 'Na Godava' every word reflected the heart beat of the people of Telangana, who craved for emancipation from dictatorship, he added.
Dr Reddy said Kaloji wrote with courage and never wrote for felicitations and titles. The great poet would ever live in the hearts of the people as a freedom fighter and humanist, he added.
