WORLDSPACE launches 24-hr Urdu radio station

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) Satellite-based digital radio services provider WORLDSPACE Satellite Radio today launched its 24-hour Urdu radio station- Falak-- meaning sky in Urdu.

Channel No 109 on WORLDSPACE Radio Network, Falak will showcase collection of Urdu music on a radio in the form of ghazals, qawalis and film songs.

''It is our endeavour to showcase the rich musical diversity of the world in a refreshing advertising-free format, which can be addressed in vitually any part of the country,'' WORLDSPACE Managing Director Shishir Lall said.

''Falak is the only 24-hour radio station which brings to its listeners an extensive range of special programmes, which focuses on Urdu music,'' WORLDSPACE Chief Marketing Officer Harshad Jain said.
