Police association demands CBI inquiry into missing of AK-47 rifles
Patna, Sep 07(UNI) Bihar Policemen's Association today demanded CBI inquiry into the missing of four AK-47 rifles from BMP armoury at Muzaffarpur on August 27 last.
Association Secretary General Liyakat Ali Khan today said he had written letters to state home secretary Afzal Amanullah and DGP Ashish Ranjan Sinha, demanding CBI inquiry into the incident.
" I have also requested the state government to transfer commandant of BMP-6 to ensure fair inquiry in this regard," he added.
Mr Khan said the morale of the police was low following the incident and demanded early recovery of the missing firearms and those reponsible for the incident should be punished.
Four AK-47 rifles were found missing from armoury of BMP-6 at Muzaffarpur on August 27.
