Hayden Shaw converted two penalty corners mid way through the first half with powerful flicks and the black shirts could have won by higher margin but for the missed chances.

The Kiwis were fast and crisp in their attacks while their rivals failed to make any incisive move throughout the 70-minute encounter.

In the second session, the Kiwis kept up the pressure and increased the lead in the 45th minute through Simon Child and after that Argentina just gave up.
