National Drama Festival in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Sep 7 (UNI) A week-long National Drama Festival will be held in the 'City Beautiful' from September 9 to 15.

The festival is being organised by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Haryana government in collaboration with North Middle Region Cultural Centre, Allahabad and North Middle Region Cultural Region, Patiala.

During the festival, 'Kissa Nautanki' (Saang) directed by Shayonath Tyagi, 'Checkmate' directed by Prashant Khirwarkar 'Sarphirey' by Rajendar Gupta, 'Charpai' by Alakhnandan and 'Tariya Charittar' directed by Praveen Shikhar would be staged.

Other plays to be featured in the fest are 'Urgent Meeting' directed by J P Singh and Munshi Prem Chand-A Collage directed by Rajender Nath.
