Israeli youth caught while intruding into Khajuraho temple

Khajuraho, MP, Sep 7 (UNI) An Israeli youth, Lazie Jackie(23), was arrested as he attempted to intrude into the Laxman temple, known for its erotic sculptures, here late last night, police said.

Archaeological Survey of India watchman, who spotted the youth scaling a boundary wall, challenged Jackie, who later fled the spot.

Police, which was alerted by the watchman, arrested the youth.

According to police, Jackie reached here yesterday from Varanasi along with his girl friend and was staying in a lodge.

Police recovered Pakistani currency, two passports and two visas from his possession.

ASI official Rahul Tiwari said activities of the accused seemed suspicious as he tried to enter the temple in the night.
