Israeli forces kill 2 militants in West Bank

JENIN, West Bank, Sep 7 (Reuters) Israeli forces killed two Palestinian militants during a raid today on a house in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian security sources said.

Rashid Zakarneh, head of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the village of Qabatiya, and another member of the group, his cousin Ashraf Zakarneh, were killed in heavy exchanges of fire between militants in the house and soldiers outside, the sources said.

At least nine other Palestinians were wounded in the gun battle in Qabatiya, near the West Bank town of Jenin.
