High Court asks Jagmohom Dalmia to reply showcause

Kolkata, Sep 7 (UNI) Calcutta High Court today asked Jagmohan Dalmia to reply to the showcause notice, served to him by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, within October 3.

Justice Pranab Kumar Deb also sugggested Mr Dalmia to refer the 60 documents in his reply relating to PILCOM accounts which he had sought from the BCCI.

Justice Deb issued the direction on a writ petition filed by Mr Dalmia challenging the showcause notice to him in connection with PILCOM accounts.

The court also held that Mr Dalmia can appear before the BCCI commnittee within seven days after October 3 and explain his position in the PILCOM affair.

Mr Dalmia had moved the high court after a city court issued a similar direction.
