Fake currency racket accused remanded in police custody
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 7 (UNI) A local court today remanded three persons, arrested in connection with the seizure of fake currency, in police custody for three days.
The trio -- V K Deshpande (27), Shankar Kannan (33) and Karimbabu Sheikh (25) -- were arrested by the crime branch sleuths and fake currency with total face value of Rs 1.9 lakh seized. The fake currency notes were in the denominations of Rs 50, Rs 100 and Rs 500.
Deshpande and Kannan were arrested yesterday; while the third, Karim, was picked up today.
