Court asks government to rescue kidnapped person
Patna, Sep 7 (UNI) The Patna High Court today asked the Bihar government to rescue an abducted person, Mahesh Rai, by October 16 or the court would handover the matter to the CBI.
While hearing a criminal writ petition filed by the victim's wife Sunaina Devi, a division bench of the court comprising justice Narayan Rai and Madhvendra Sahran directed the DGP and Vaishali Superintendent of Poilce to speed up the investigation and rescue the youth from the clutches of the kidnappers.
The court said if police failed to meet the deadline, the court would handover the case to the CBI.
Mahesh Rai was abducted from a hotel in Hajipur in April.
