Cong to get less than ten seats in Punjab polls: Badal
Jalandhar, Sep 7 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) president Parkash Singh Badal today claimed the ruling Congress would be reduced to less than ten seats in the coming Punjab assembly polls as it was facing infighting.
The Congress was likely to get only five to seven of the total 117 assembly seats in the state, Mr Badal said while addressing a rally at Adampur near here.
He stated that everybody was unhappy over the working of the present government in the state.
He said even the Congress leaders, including ruling party state president Shamsher Singh Dullo, former assembly deputy speaker Bir Davinder Singh and former MP Jagmeet Brar had been publicly speaking against the ''mal-functioning of the government and misdeeds'' of several ministers''.
Mr Badal said everything was against the Congress and claimed the ruling party was heading for a bitter defeat in the elections.
