Centenary celebration of Vande mataram

Visakhapatnam, Sep 7 (UNI) The centenary celebrations of Vande Mataram were held in the city.

A rare photo exhibition of 300 martyrs across the country who faced the bullets, embraced the tri-colour in their hand and vande mataram on their lips was also held.

Andhra University Vice-Chancellor I Venugopal Reddy, Registrar P Vijayaprakash, several professors, thousands of students, scholars and staff sang the song with enthusiasm and committment.

The BJP also organised a programme on the occasion in which a senior RSS member also participated.
