Bangladeshi arrested for carrying foreign currencies

Basirhat, Sep 7 (UNI) A Bangladeshi, carrying foreign currencies, was arrested in North 24 parganas here today.

Gilbert Rego (50), reportedly involved in missionary job in Bangladesh, was on his way to Basnia, Gajipur under Kaliganj police station in Khulna district. He was allegedly carrying a fake passport, 2 lakh Iraqi Dinar and 1600 US Dollars.

He was produced before the Subdivisional court here.
