1 Judge, 8 Additional Judges For Gujarat, Bombay HCs
New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The appointment of a Judge and two Additional Judges to the Gujarat High Court and six Additional Judges to Bombay High Court by President APJ Abdul Kalam was announced today.
Gujarat HC Addtiional Judge Anantkumar Surendrary Dave has appointed a Judge, the announcement said.
The appointment will take effect from the day he assumes office.
It said also appointed to the Court as Additional Judges were Justices Shaileshkumar Ramanlal Brahmbhatt and Harsha Nathalal Devani in that order of seniority.
Each will have a two year term with effect from October 8, 2006, the announcement said.
The six new Additional Judges appointed to Bombay HC are Justices Arun Bhaurao Chaudhari, Ravindra Manohar Borde, Ranjit Vasantrao More, Rajendra Manohar Savant, Pradeep Ramchandra Borkar and Chandrakant Laxaman Pangarkar in that order of seniority, the announcement said.
The first four of them were formerly Advocates and the other two Judicial Officers, it said.
The appointments will be for two years each with effect from the dates on which the Additional Judges assume charge of their respective office.
