Two girl students strike suicide pact in Amritsar, one dead

Amritsar, Sep 6 (UNI) A girl student of Khalsa college died after she and her close friend took an overdose of sulphos tablets in an alleged suicide pact last night in the girls hostel here.

However, they did not leave any note before committing the act.

Pravin Kaur, a student of BSc (Economics) hailing from Nashera Dhalla village in this district has died while Ramandeep Kaur of Moga, studying Food Technology is under observation in the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital here.

According to hostel sources, the two friends had gone to see a picture, cleared their bills and visited religious places yesterday but did not look tense or give an inkling of their plan.
