TN Govt's monthly assistance for unemployed youth from Oct 2
Chennai, Sep 6 (UNI) Fulfilling yet another poll promise, the Tamil Nadu Government will launch the monthly assistance scheme for unemployed youth on October two, the 'Gandhi Jayanti' day.
Following its promise in the election manifesto, the ruling DMK had announced in its maiden budget that a monthly financial assistance would be given to educated youth who are unemployment even after completion of five years from the date of registration in the employment exchange.
Accordingly, the assistance would be given for three years at the rate of Rs 150 to those who had passed the school final examination, Rs 200 for those who had passed the Higher Secondary or Pre- University course and Rs 300 for Graduates and Post Graduates, an official release here said.
The government would incur an annual expenditure of Rs 110 crore for the scheme.
Those eligible to avail the assistance could get the application form from the offices of District Collector, Tahsildar and District Employment Exchange, the release added.
