Sensex trades 32 pts up in the intra-noon trade
Mumbai, Sept 06, (UNI) The Bombay stock Exchange Sensitive index (Sensex) consolidated its gains and was trading 32 points up at 11,936.54 in the intra-noon trade as the construction scrips edged higher.
Unitech, Simplex Infrastructure, Lok Housing, Jaiprakash Associates, Era Construction, Madhucon Projects, Gammon India, IVRCL Infrastructure, Reliance Infrastructures all were trading up today.
Bankex, consumer Durables, IT and PSU sectors were trading down in the red by 0.40, 0.16, 0.06 and 0.03 per cent respectively.
Major Gainers on the index are Reliance Energy, L&T, Bharti Airtel, Dr Reddy's Lab, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Gujarat Ambuja, ITC, Hindalco and Wipro all up between 0.52 to 3.30 per cent.
Besides the losers on the index are ONGC, HLL, TCS, BHEL, ICICI, HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy, ACC, Reliance communications and Maruti Udyog all down between 0.34 to 1.71 per cent.
Crude oil price continued their fall on reports of discovery of a deepwater well in the Gulf of Mexico. While the Nymex light crude oil for October delivery declined 59 cents to US Dollar 68.60 a barrel, the London Brent crude fell 98 cents to US Dollar 68.13 per barrel.
