PYC Hindu Gym crash out; Spring Club, Islam Gym 'B' advance

Mumbai, Sep 6 (UNI) Spring Club and Islam Gymkhana 'B' fashioned their second wins to qualify for the quarter-finals in the Sandesh Memorial Mumbai Billiards &Snooker League here today.

Spring Club, who had beaten ECC 'B' in the Group C opener, endured a strong challenge before ending the campaign of debutant PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Pune, with a thrilling 3-2 win. ECC 'B' is the second team to qualify from the group following a win over PYC.

Islam Gymkhana 'B', who had shocked ECC 'A' the previous evening, beat PJ Hindu Gymkhana 'A' 3-2 in another exciting tie to cement their place in the knock out from Group 'H'. ECC 'A' also made it to the quarter-finals with a win over PJ Hindu Gymkhana 'A'.
