Policemen become teachers in Malwa village
Barmer, Sep 6 (UNI) All hopes of about 350 students of Barmer's Malwa village dashed when the flood water engulfed their madarsa. Till some saviors came in the form of policemen.
The policemen of Ramsar police station have taken up the responsibility of bringing the frightened children back to school.
They have put up two huge temporary tents to accomodate around 70 students and are giving them lessons.
The station incharge Narain Lal Bishnoi said since the students went to madarsa, they were hesitant to come to such schools initially. ''It was difficult to persuade the children to come to such schools. Moreover the floods have made them a little nervous.
Many of them have lost family members in the floods,'' he said.
But the policemen Persuaded the in parents and relented sending back at least 70 students.
The students are attending the classes as earlier without a maulvi And the policemen, apart from their official duties, are trying to teach the students the art of living life with hope.
