NTPC, BSEB in JV to take over Muzaffarpur power station
New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) State-owned power major National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) today said it has formed a joint venture with Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) to take over Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station (2x110 MW) in Bihar.
The JV will be under the name and style of Vaishali Power Generating Company Ltd.
The company will initially hold 51 per cent of equity capital of the JV and the balance shall be subscribed by BSEB/Bihar government.
NTPC and BSEB signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard in December last year. The JV will hence be a susidiary of NTPC.
