No Entry for criminals in SP: Mulayam
Hardoi, Sep 6 (UNI) Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said there was a strict 'no entry' for criminals in his party.
Attending a function here, the Chief Minister said the 2007 Assembly elections, due early next year, would change the face of the Indian politics.
''There is only one party, SP, which worked indiscriminately for the development of all sections of society,'' Mr Yadav said.
Fear of being defeated at the hustings has entered the minds of politicians of other parties because of the growing popularity of the SP, he added.
''All the parties are conspiring to wipe off Samajwadi Party in the next Assembly elections, but they will utterly fail to do so,'' Mr Yadav said.
During the last three of its regime, education, employment to all and better roads were of prime significance to SP, he added.
''A country where farmers reel under the jaws of poverty and debt cannot prosper following which around Rs 18,000 crore was paid to the sugarcane farmers during the last three years,'' he added.
