Khadi Gramodyog to provide low interest loans to unemployed
Jaunpur, Sep 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government will provide low interest loans from Khadi Gramodyog to the unemployed in the naxal-affected districts of Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli.
Khadi Gramodyog Minister Rajaram Pandey told mediapersons here yesterday, under the 'Mukhyamantri Rozgar Yozna', the bank would lend low interest rate loans to youth.
This would encourage them to shun the path of naxalism and become responsible citizens, he added.
''In the current financial year 2006-07, as many as 70,000 youth were employed by the Khadi Gramodyog,'' Mr Rajaram informed.
''Following increasing demand for 'Khadi' outfits, trendy clothes designed by Khadi Gramodyog are available in the market.'' He added the Samajwadi Party-led UP government is devoted to the development of every section of society and has launched several human welfare schemes.
