Kalindee Rail bags contract from Vedanta Alumina
Mumbai, Sep 6 (UNI) Kalindee Rail Nirman Engineers has secured a Rs 53 crore contract from Vedanta Alumina, Mumbai, for constructing Railway Siding and Linkage Project at their Alumina Plant at Jharsuguda, Orissa.
A Company release said in the month of July this year, it had secured high value contract of Rs 102.7 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for installation of signalling and doubling of railway line between Gooty-Pullampet section in Andhra Pradesh.
This contract had been awarded to consortium comprising the Company and Leighton Contractors (India) Pvt Ltd, subsidiary of Singapore-based Leighton Holding. Recently, the Company received a contract from Reliance Energy for railway siding works for its upcoming power project at Yamuna Nagar, Haryana.
In February this year, the Companys board had approved merger or amalgamation of Kalindee India Projects and Engineering Services Ltd with the Company.
In June 2006 quarter, the Company registered a net profit growth of 167.6 per cent to Rs 99 lakh from Rs 37 lakh in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales rose 86.6 per cent to Rs 19.37 crore from Rs 10.38 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Kalindee Rail Nirman Engineers manufactures and installs signalling and telecommunication equipment along with executing gauge conversion projects for the Indian Railways.
