Exclusive job fair for women begins on Sep 9

Chennai, Sep 6 (UNI) The city-based Mailorjobs.com and Ford Business Services centre in coordination with the Department of Sociology, University of Madras and Ethiraj college for women will organise a two-day job fair 'SADHANA' exclusively for women here beginning on September 9.

Company Manager (Business development) Srinath Krishna and Company Business Head Mr Sathish, in a press release here today claimed that the job fair will be the first of its kind event for women in the country.

The aim of the event is to provide job opportunities and identity the factors for faster employability of female candidates in their chosen fields, they added.

The opportunity is open only to UG and Post Graduate female candidates in courses such as engineering, humanities, sciences, management and computer science, they said adding that a host of companies like IT, ITES, Pharmaceuticals, Banking, Media, E-publishing and Travel services were participating in the event.

Also reputed corporate houses like Ford, Kingfisher Airlines, ABN Amro, CADD centre, Perot Systems, MA Foi Management consultants, HCL BPO, Sutherland, Intelenet, GRO, Scientific Publishing Services would take part in the job fair, they added.

During the fair period training sessions would be organised for the participants to make them know on the rudimentary steps towards better employment, they added.
