Dhampur Sugar Mills BoD to meet on Sep. 12

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) The Board of Directors (BoD) of the Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd (DSM) will meet on September 12, 2006 to consider the allotment of Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) to IFCI Ltd.

The company has informed BSE accordingly about the meeting of its BoD aimed at allotment of 2,74,430 CCPS to IFCI Ltd.

The meeting will also consider and approve the scheme of amalgamation of DSM Hitech Products Ltd, (wholly owned subsidiary) with the company.

The BoD of DSM had decided to issue CCPS to IFCI at an extra ordinary general meeting held on September 04, 2006.

Earlier, On 25 July, 2006, the BoD had approved the companys merger with its wholly-owned subsidiary DSM Hitech Products.

The mill is also holding talks with the Maharashtra government to acquire two sugar mills in the state by the end of December 2006.
