Business delegation leaves for China and Hongkong
Guwahati, Sep 6 (UNI) A 10-member business delegation today left for China and Hongkong on a ten-day visit to explore various possibilities for SME development in North East region.
The visit has been organised by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and Federation of Industries&Commerce of North East Region (FINER), a FINER release informed.
The delegation, comprising entrepreneurs from Ssom, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim and Meghalaya, is led by IIE Director K Ahmed and FINER vice-president R S Joshi.
The delegation would be meeting a series of trade and commerce bodies in Hongkong, Shanghai and Beijing. One-to-one meeting with sector specific trade, especially in agro, food processing and bamboo-based industries, has also been organised.
They would also try to garner information relating to vocational training and engineering industries in view of China's high competence in this sector.
Strategic partnership with various trade and industry bodies in Hongkong and China in the field mutually agreed upon were also expected from the visit.
