Bank of India completes 100 years of service
Patna, Sep 6 (UNI) Bank of India (BOI), which will complete 100 years' of glorious service tomorrow, has reached a turnover of more than Rs 1,70,000 crores.
Addressing mediapersons here on the eve of centenary day celebration, Zonal Manager of the Bank Ramawatar Singh said today that turnover of the bank was expected to touch the magic figure of Rs 2,00,00 crore during the period 2006-07.
''With 25 million customer base, the bank is all set to scale new heights while 2.5 million customers under the bank's fold during the centenary year alone'' he added.
Mr Singh said that BOI is the third largest nationalised bank with a total network of 2654 branches comprising 2630 Indian and 24 foreign branches.
The bank has presence in 12 countries, including USA, UK, France, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam, he added.
