Baghdad bomb kills eight, wounds 38 - police
BAGHDAD, Sep 6 (Reuters) A car bomb killed eight Iraqi civilians and wounded 38 others in northern Baghdad's Qahira district today, police said.
The car bomb was detonated by remote control on the side of a busy road during morning rush hour. A second bomb detonated as police cordoned off the scene of the attack but it did not cause further casualties.
Sunni insurgents fighting the Shi'ite-led Iraqi government often attack crowded streets.
