Anil Kumble begins practice, bowls to Sachin and Dravid

Bangalore, Sep 6 (UNI) Ace leg spinner Anil Kumble, who is undergoing a rehabilitation programme for tendonitis, had some bowling practice on the penultimate day of the 'Rolling Camp' for the Indian Cricketers selected for tri-nation series in Malaysia, also involving Australia and West Indies.

Kumble, though not included in the Kaula Lumpur tri-series and ICC Champions Trophy, bowled to Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid during practice session.

Kumble, suffering from tendonitis in his bowling shoulder cut short his engagement with Surrey county last month and is undergoing rehabilitation under Physio John Gloster.

Besides the star players, Dinesh Mongia, V R V Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Ramesh Powar underwent training under the guidance of coach Greg Chappell, trainer Gregory Allen King, Gloster and Bio Mechanic Ian Fraser. Rahul and Sachin were seen repeatedly hitting the ball to the fence while facing Mongia and Harbhajan. They players also practised on the Bowling Machine installed in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The camp was held amidst tight security following yesterday's incident in which three cricket fans were injured after the iron fence put on the compound came down as more than 40 fans sat on it in an attempt to have glimpse of their cricket icons.
